Day-Long Meditation Retreat
Set aside a full day for silent practice with the sangha — alternating between guided sitting, walking meditation, a Dhamma talk, and a shared vegetarian meal offered by the community.
Meditate with a Monk — At the Monastery
Drop-in sitting meditation held in the shrine room, with brief instruction before each session. Open to all — beginners warmly welcomed alongside long-time practitioners.
Friday Evening Dhamma Talk & Meditation
Chanting, a short loving-kindness meditation, and reflection on the Buddha's teachings — with time afterwards to speak with the monks and ask your questions.
Meditate with a Monk — At Dalnavert Museum
An open, welcoming sit in the heritage stillness of the historic Dalnavert Museum. Brief instruction offered before each session — newcomers especially encouraged.
Mindfulness Meditation Club
Weekly meditation classes at the University of Manitoba teaching mental relaxation and peace through the Buddha's teachings. Small booklets provided for home practice.
Mindfulness in Buddha's Way — Online
An ongoing exploration of the Mahā Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta — the Great Discourse on the Establishing of Mindfulness — through in-depth explanations and practical insights for contemporary practitioners.
Children's Dhamma School
Children learn about the Buddha's life, simple meditation, basic Buddhist teachings, respect for parents, friendship, and the concepts of merit and karma. Ages 4–19, parents welcome.
All are welcome. Come as you are.
Our programs are offered in English and are free of charge. Dress modestly and comfortably. If it is your first visit, arrive a few minutes early — a monastic or volunteer will greet you and help you settle in.
