Mindfulness
Meditation Club.
A free weekly meditation meet-up on campus, led by monks from Mahamevnawa. Designed to support students in managing stress, anxiety, and academic pressure through real meditation and mindfulness practice — beginner-friendly, practical, easy to follow.
Sessions teach both breathing meditation and loving-kindness meditation. Small take-home booklets are provided, so you can continue your practice at home.

Relax & de-stress
Simple techniques for settling the nervous system between classes, exams, and deadlines.
Learn real meditation
Traditional Buddhist methods taught clearly, with practical application for modern life.
Guided by monks
A trained monastic guides each session — not a recording, not a generic app.
Ask questions freely
Time is set aside for your questions — about the practice, the teachings, or anything in between.
Students, faculty, neighbours — all are welcome.
The club is based on campus but open to the public. You don’t need to be a UofM student, you don’t need to be Buddhist, and you don’t need prior meditation experience.
Drop in whenever it fits your schedule. Each session stands on its own — nothing to catch up on.
