Mindfulness Meditation
for Saskatoon.

Saskatchewan already has a Mahamevnawa community — and this weekly online session extends that spirit further. Every Tuesday evening, practitioners from Saskatoon join monks and fellow students across Canada and the world to study the Buddha's original teachings on mindfulness.

We explore the Mahā Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta — the Great Discourse on Establishing Mindfulness — passage by passage. No prior knowledge is needed. Whether you have been meditating for years or are taking your first step, you are welcome exactly as you are.

Mindfulness in Saskatoon

Rooted on the Prairies, reaching across traditions.

Saskatoon's meditation community is quietly but steadily growing. Alongside established centres for Insight, Zen, and other traditions, there is a growing appetite for practice rooted directly in the Pāli Canon — the oldest and most complete record of the Buddha's teachings.

This program fills that space. Mindfulness in Buddha's Way does not adapt or modernize the suttas into a technique. It reads them as they are — practical, precise, and full of warmth — and invites practitioners to bring that understanding directly into their daily lives in Saskatchewan.

The Tuesday sessions are free, run live on Zoom, and require nothing more than a willingness to sit and listen. Many Saskatoon participants join from their living rooms right after work — the 7:30 PM CST start time is designed for exactly that.
